| I think everyone transferred off or quit. I tried Warhammer but it blew. Pretty boring game IMO and no skill involved AT all...even compared to WoW. |

| Warhammer's no good? Really? That's too bad. Seemed like everyone was excited for that to come out....Amoc did you get the Wrath of the Lich King xpac? Anyone know how it is? |

I don't think I'm going to buy Wrath. It just seems like another 2 years of the same and after 4 years there's nothing new for me.
Warhammer was terrible for a number of reasons. I'll list them:
#1 - Terrible optimization on the client side. There are posts on the community sites 20000 long with people complaining about it. The game stutters, hitches and slows down like mad in large scale RvR even on a lot of good systems (including mine) and that's apparently the whole point of the game.
#2 - There is very little 'uniqueness' to the classes. There's like 22 class or something now but you can really halve that because the other faction has an almost exact mirror class to you. An archmage is the same thing as a goblin shaman, a bright wizard is the same as a sorceress etc etc... On top of that you add that all the classes have hugely similar abilities in the first place and the classes just seem really bland. Everyone has a knockback. The ranged dps classes all have a frost nova type thing and so on....
#3 - There doesn't seem to be any meaningful progression. The gear curve is considerably lower and so is the skill curve. There are less abilities to use, 100x less twitch reflex involved in pvp so from what I can tell there's almost a 'skill plateau'. The RvR and pvp in this game is basically really just AV done on a larger scale. Even the scenarios are just push/push zergs.
#4 - Everyone looks the same. From level 25 and on you're going to look almost the exact same. Mythic has to follow Warhammer intellectual licenses so your character is going to look more or less the same.
I'd give the game a generous 7/10. It is fun for awhile but it will never hook me like WoW did. |
